Hello and welcome.
Today is the perfect day to a slow start for preparing for Christmas! This year I decided to create Christmas tree decorations by myself. So let's begin!
- hook (the size depends on your own yarn thickness),
- yarn,
- needle,
- scissors.
I m using Tulip 6/0 3.5 mm hook and my yarn is from Drops - Cotton Merino. Yarn description is here.
The measurements of my green hat are: height 6,5 cm (2,5 inch), the widest part 7,5 cm (3 inch).
The measurements of my white hat are: height 7 cm ( 2,6 inch), the widest part 6,5 cm ( 2,5 inch).
The terms which I am using are:
ch - chain
sl st - slip stitch
sl st (tbl) - slip stitch to the back loop
hdc - half double crochet
hdc (tbl) - half double crochet to the back loop
The pattern for the white hat:
Crochet a braid of 19 chains.
1 row: 1 turning chain, 5 sl st, 14 hdc.
2 row: 2 turning chains, 14 hdc (tbl), 5 sl st (tbl).
3 row: 1 turning chain, 5 sl st (tbl), 14 hdc (tbl).
Repeat 2 and 3 rows as many times as you want.
Note: in order for the rows to connect nicely, you need to crochet an odd number of rows.
The pattern for the green hat:
Crochet a braid of 15 chains.
1 row: 1 turning chain, 3 sl st, 12 hdc.
2 row: 2 turning chains, 12 hdc (tbl), 3 sl st (tbl).
3 row: 1 turning chain, 3 sl st (tbl), 12 hdc (tbl).
Repeat 2 and 3 rows as many times as you want.
Note: in order for the rows to connect nicely, you need to crochet an odd number of rows.
Now let's crochet this hat!

When you will finish crochet all part, it looks so. Remember to crochet the odd number of the rows. |
You could choose how to connect part: will sew or crochet with slip stitch. I prefer the last method. |
At the end it will looks so. |
With a needle, I select all the stitches at the top and pull the yarn them together. Make a knot on the inside. |
Your hat is ready. |
Have a great day and will meet soon.
Sincerely
